Product Description
Skid Row: Ann Cabot abandons her comfortable way of life in the East and travels West to marry homesteader Jack Shomer. Shomer, however, has become destitute because of land failure and is too ashamed to see her. Naive and unfamiliar with the brutality of living in Dodge, Ann becames one of its many victims.
What The Whiskey Drummer Heard: Whiskey salesman Wilber Hawkins claims he overheard two men plotting to murder Matt. This leaves Matt rather jumpy, especially after someone takes a potshot at him. Hoping to bring the sniper out in the open, Matt feigns death and goes into hiding. Unfortunately, his plan is foiled and he is forced to resurface to await the next attack.
The Man Who Would Be Marshal: Retired army officer Emmett Egan arrives in Dodge intent on having Matt's job. Egan has been searching for the adventure he once knew and demands the opportunity to prove himself. He persuades Matt to deputize him, but when trouble finally develops, Egan learns that the law of the military commands little respect among the frontier migrants of Dodge.
Liar From Blackhawk: Hank Shinn arrives in Dodge and starts to throw his weight around. He spends most of his time boasting about what a ruthless figher he si. Although he has much of the town hoodwinked and intimidated, Matts suspects that Shinn is mostly talk. When a gunman arrives to call his bluff, Shinn decides to tell the Marshal the truth.
