Product Description
Acclaimed Indian director Satyajit Ray explored the life of Apu, and Indian, and through him the culture of the Bengali society. After moving his family to Benares Apu's father becomes ill and dies. Apu's mother works to support the family and Apu begins training for the priesthood. However, he wins a scholorship to the University of Calcutta and he finds his future lies not as a priest but as a man in Calcutta.
